Where to Find Coupons

Where do I get all of my coupons? Most are from the paper and the Internet.

Sites with online coupons…

  • Coupons.com This database is renewed at the first of each month. Every once in awhile they’ll add coupons throughout the month, but not usually a lot.
  • Stonyfield Farm This site offers organic coupons, which I love.
  • P&G This site gives away free samples also. And this link actually will take you to P&G from Kroger’s site and link the online coupons to your card for you.
  • ShortCuts.com This site actually links coupons to your rewards card. Like I have said before though, the site could be better. It’s getting there.
  • Target also offers grocery coupons. They renew them about once a week, but these coupons are good for a month or two, so always worth checking.
  • CellFire.com This is essentially the same as ShortCuts.com. You can also link to them through Tom Thumb to get coupons put on your card.
  • Some Red Plum coupons, which generally come in the paper, are online too. The selection here is limited, so the paper is better. But this is still great for repeats.
  • Betty Crocker and Pillsbury offer printable coupons too.
  • Shop Smart You can print coupons.

Coupons on paper

  • Whole Foods generally has their coupons in their monthly magazine that you pick up at check out. And in the Richardson magazine (maybe it’s the same for other parts of Dallas), there is usually some sort of discount coupon.
  • Red Plum and Smart Saver usually come in the newspaper. I do not take the newspaper, but now that we are living in a house, we get a bundle of circulars, ads, and coupons thrown on our lawn once or twice a week, known as “The Briefing“. (Many people cancel these because they find it annoying and a waste of paper, but that’s where the coupons are. So resubscribe.) And before when we were in an apartment, I would buy a newspaper for $2 because the coupon savings amount to so much more. *This is where I get the bulk of my coupons.
  • The ads crammed in your mailbox. Generally I don’t get grocery coupons from here, but my Free Bagel Friday coupons for Einstein Bros. Bagels come from here. And the ValuPak ads that are in your mailbox sometimes contain coupons for local restaurants… i.e. Spring Creek BBQ, which I heart.
  • And always look inside food/toiletry boxes for coupons.

Reading the weekly circulars is also key. Personally, I check Sprouts, Target, and CVS the most. But any paper circular given to me, I read. You never know where you’ll find the best deal. I try to buy items when they are on sale. And buying on sale with a coupon is a bonus. Like you, I don’t always have time to go to multiple grocery stores for the sale items, but I am fortunate enough to live within a mile of Whole Foods, Sprouts, Kroger, Tom Thumb, Neighborhood Walmart, and Super Target. So what’s convenient for me, may not be for you. You have to find what works.

As far as non-grocery related coupons, I always search via Swagbucks for coupons for the store I need to go to. For example, I will search “Container Store coupon codes”.
