-Free MC (Received from General Mills as compensation for faulty product), $1/1 MC (Again, from General Mills), $1/1 MC (Previously on Coupons.com), $2/5 Tom Thumb coupon (from previous receipt)
=$4 for 5, or 80 cents each
Dawn Pure Essentials on sale for $2.99
-$1.50 MC
=$1.49, which I felt was a good price since it’s double the size of most other dish soaps.
Four Campbell Select Harvest (not sure why only 3 made it into the photo), on sale for $1 each, or $4/4 (I had already used these coupons – 1/3 SS and 2/7 SS, both for 50 cents/2, which is $1/2 when doubled.)
Two Nature’s Own Whole Wheat Breads with Organic Flour on sale for $2.99, plus BOGO
=$2.99/2
Total: $70 – $17.39 from Rewards Card – $36.06 from coupons
=$17.39
WHOLE FOODS
0.18 lb of Organic Spinach at $3.99/lb
=72 cents
*I used to buying CostCo’s organic spinach and lettuce for salads, but I recently started buying organic spinach loose like this from Whole Foods because it’s cheaper. Bagging it myself allows me to: 1) Get the amount I need, so I don’t waste, and 2) Get all of the air out of the bag so that only the spinach is being weighed.
I had a couple questions last time, so here’s the coupon lingo if you’re new:
MC = Manufacturer’s Coupon …I specify this because stores also have their own coupons sometimes, as Tom Thumb did with the Cheerios, above.
SS = Smart Saver, P&G = Procter and Gamble, and RP = Red Plum …These refer to the coupon packets you get on Sundays with the newspaper. I cut the coupons I think I may use and sort them in my coupon binder. Then I label these packets (i.e. “RP 2/21″) and put them away in case a great sale or freebie comes up.
