Surprisingly the topic of Starbucks Rewards program has come up A LOT in the past week. I’ve had a lot of questions or blank expressions, so I just wanted to take the time to revisit this topic again. Here’s the program in a nutshell:
Basically you get rewarded for how much you come in! …Assuming that you have your Starbucks card registered, that is. I’m on the Green Level and only four stars away from the Gold! You’re probably saying, “Whoa! Wait. Green Level? Gold Level?” Okay I’ll slow down. Here are the basics…
First of all, the program is FREE!
You can earn stars any time you pay for your Starbucks order with your registered card. These stars get you to different levels, earning you different rewards.
- Beginners get a free drink on their birthday and up to 2 free hours of wi-fi each day.
- Green Level earns you free drink customization, free refills on brewed coffee, free beverage with your whole bean purchase, and free trial offers. …This may explain why I just got a coupon in the mail for free oatmeal from Starbucks! It’s pretty good by the way.
- Gold Level earns you a free drink with every 15 stars, a personalized gold card, and personalized offers and coupons.
