Turn Your Christmas Cards into Place Mats!

I love our Christmas cards so much that 2009’s Christmas cards were still hanging up at Halloween! I just love seeing the faces of our loved ones, not to mention the pretty cards and clever ideas! So this year I decided to collage our cards onto pieces of construction paper and laminate them, creating place mats! The place mats I made were front and back, which did make them more difficult to laminate. But front and back just seemed more fun than one-sided!

Also I checked prices before I went. FedEx was going to charge me $3.99 per sheet to use their oversized laminator. Staples, on the other hand, only charged me $1.99 per sheet! That’s a big difference! Always price shop.

Happy crafting!

  3. instead of paying to get them laminate, you can do it your slef by buying clear shelf paper.. it works just as good

    • It’s true. I think in this case they may be too think for just contact paper. Personally I prefer the look of lamination. But you could totally try the contact paper! Let me know how it turns out!
