This past weekend we were out of town. A neighbor was caring for the chickens. (Not exactly the pet sitting job you want, right? I know, I know… she’s a great neighbor!) Anyway she texted me to let me know she hear cockadoodle-dooing! Oh no!! Hubby and I went to investigate this morning. Sure enough, we have a rooster. But not just one rooster. TWO roosters! Remember Ida May and Queeny? Turns out those names are too feminine for them…
PS This blog post is part of a series, called “Hyatti,” which means “my life.” I love getting to share about the person “behind the blog” with you!

So Ash, since Ida May is a rooster…..you should consider naming your new hen Ina May, after our Chi O founder, Ina May Boles (Short for Christina but pronounced like I-na not Eena). I didn’t have the heart to tell you earlier, and I love the little southern name Ida May. Second chance!
You’re sweet! Haha. Thanks for clarifying! Time to redeem the name! Also what was the guy founder’s name? Maybe this one needs to be renamed… weird that there was a guy founder!
Thankfully Thrifty recently posted..Hyatti: Roosters, eh?
