What are you stuffing in your stockings?

Christmas stockings make me giddy! It’s silly really. Most of the good presents are under the tree. {Not that Christmas is about presents… we’ll get to that later. I digress.} But it’s something about all of the small wonderful objects that fill a stocking make me happy!

I’ve seen lots of stocking stuffer ideas on the internet this season. So I thought I’d share a few stocking stuffer ideas of my own…

  1. Gift cards. This can be for $5, and that’s awesome! Think Starbucks and Jamba Juice. {You can, of course, do more than $5, but I tend to think of that as more of gift than a stocking stuffer… your call though!}
  2. Chapstick. I love chapstick. I have come to expect this in my stocking. You can never have enough of it.
  3. Socks. Fun socks preferably, for me anyway. Fuzzy maybe. Or if it’s for a guy, he might prefer boring running or work socks. Whatever floats your boat.
  4. Underwear. Because you always need more.
  5. Pens, crayons, markers. Colorful pens also make me giddy. Especially back in the day when I was a student. Pens were one of my favorite things. Now I have Siri.
  6. Tea or coffee samples. Tasty and energizing.
  7. Makeup bag or brushes.
  8. Nail polishes. Those silly things can be expensive! But a new color always puts a smile on my face.
  9. Stickers. For a little one.
  10. Rice Packs. Homemade, thoughtful, and useful for aches and pains.
  11. Hair accessories. Bows for the little girls in your life. Or maybe a fun headband and hair ties for you.
  12. Money clip. For a guy.
  13. Natural toiletries. I’m not big on giving, say, toothpaste for Christmas. But if it were a natural brand that we normally wouldn’t buy because it’s too pricey, then that would be stocking-worthy, in my book.
  14. Play dough or silly putty. For kids.
  15. Personalized notpads. I’ve gotten some great post-it sized notepads personalize free from Vistaprint.
  16. Homemade soap. {I’ll be posting a tutorial on this soon.}
  17. Coffee cozy. Make your own here.
  18. Cord clips. They just look handy. And pretty. The wire snake cable organizer is another similar option.
  19. Scarf. To keep warm and be trendy.
  20. Craft supplies. Mmmkay so not everyone would like this, but I WOULD!! New threads, finger paints {for the little one}, fabric squares, etc. Actually maybe Baby Girl will get some finger paints in her stocking…

    • Good question on the finger paint! I’m hunting for it tomorrow while a friend watches my baby. (Baby swap day!) Sooo I’ll get back to you!
      As for the mascara thing, I’ve been meaning to post a “favorite things” post and mascara is on there. In case I don’t make it there, check out Gifted by Tarte. I just discovered it. All natural. Feels fabulous on my eyes. And it makes my lashes long and thick!!! Without becoming hard or clumpy. I am obsessed. They have other types too, but check out the brand Tarte! It’s pricey, but not terrible – like you said, it’s a nice one!
