FCLO Flavors and Options
So you’re sold on the health benefits of FCLO and the need to take the fermented stuff, let’s talk taste. Straight, non-flavored FCLO is certainly an option. It’s not one I would recommend, simply because it is beyond yucky. Still if that floats your boat, go for it! Otherwise, if you still want to try to take the straight FCLO, you have two other options – arctic mint and cinnamon tingle. We have the cinnamon tingle, and it’s not bad. Once the stuff has been refrigerated, it solidifies a bit (in the same way coconut oil does – goes from liquid to a buttery consistency), which makes it easy to put some on a spoon, put it on the back of my tongue, and swallow it, without tasting it too much. So the bit I do taste isn’t bad! (Side note: Before you call me out for taking the straight stuff when I said in my last post I had never been gutsy enough to do it, let me explain. I put some straight FCLO on a spoon to give my toddler, but naturally she refused. So then I had to eat it myself to show her how good it was. Parents, you know the drill. But the lesson I learned – it’s not that bad!)
If you still aren’t feeling gutsy enough to try the straight stuff, I don’t blame you. I actually have been taking the capsules for months! These come in non-flavored, which I take, orange, and orange oslo. I have not tried the last two, but the first doesn’t taste bad at all, in my opinion. Not sure why you would need a flavored capsule. The flavor is already sealed up, so it’s like taking a normal vitamin capsule!
