Because this is a topic that has come up MULTIPLE times in the past few weeks, I thought I’d just address it on the blog. The topic of teething. What works best? How do you help your little one when they’re in pain?
We have a couple of remedies that help us. The first one is the amber teething necklace, which I wrote about here. We LOVE our teething necklace! I’ll clarify that it’s not to be chewed on but simply to be worn. The amber has anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties that greatly help with teething. I’ll let you read my review for more on that. This said, I understand that many of you may be skeptics. I often am too. I do think it has helped Lilleigh though, for what that’s worth.
The other thing that has greatly helped with teething pain is Boiron Camilia Teething Relief. It’s basically a tiny dropper that you put in their mouths. We have seen results from this almost instantaneously. I don’t know how it works, but Camilia is AMAZING. We actually first used it when Lil had an ear infection. She had been crying off and on for four hours. (Poor girl!) Our doctor had recommended Camilia for teething, and since the ear canal and the jaw are all so closely related, we tried it for her ear pain. It was instantaneous. Not kidding. Our fussy baby went to sleep with no more issues and slept through the night. Hallelujah! Additionally, Lil has made it through teething remarkably well, but since these molars have been a little more difficult, I’ve used Camilia a few times for that. Awesome. She is glad to take the Camilia and happy after taking it. I highly recommend this option!
Update: Silly me forgot to mention, I included the Amazon link for Camilia because originally when we were in a pinch with the ear infection, we bought a 15-count at Walgreens for $6.99. On Amazon, you can buy a 30-count box for only $7.88!
What has helped your little ones through that teething phase?
