So you made a New Years resolution to hit the gym and get in shape? I’ve been trying to commit to this for months, but I found that between wanting to have another child, already having a toddler, and having a limited budget, my gym options were pretty much non-existent. So about a month ago, I came up with a new plan: At home work-outs. And here is the regimen I am using.

Back on Pointe has a work-out plan for each day of the week. (Be sure to visit the page by the way since the whole routine doesn’t show up.) If you are able to carve out about 15 minutes, that is all these will take each day. If you are unable to carve out 15 minutes, the nice thing is that you can do these exercises throughout the day. You won’t get your heart rate up in the same way you would by doing them all at once, but something is definitely better than nothing!
For me, I have 7 note cards with each routine written out. I do not exercise 7 days a week. I am usually 3-4 and almost always try to skip Sunday. So I actually did not write the days of the week on each card. I simply made 7 cards, and each day I pick the next card in the stack. Doing this first thing in the morning, before the rest of the house is up, has worked for me. It gets me energized for the day!
Lastly, it’s great to try to integrate in some cardio also. Personally, I find walking to be my best bet since it allows me to get out of the house with my toddler and also to get my dog some exercise as well.
When it comes to exercise, what works for you?

Go mama go!
I wrote all those down on note cards too and rotate through them!
