Welcome, Spring! Boy do we have plans for you! Anyone else tired of being cooped up for the winter? {Double hand raise!} Not only are we ready to go outside, but I have a whole list of things I am ready to do!

Our Spring Bucket List:

dallas arboretum

  • Klyde Warren Park. I can’t even believe I haven’t been there yet! They also have a free trolley that you can ride from uptown.
  • Dinners with friends at Chicken Scratch. Outdoor seating and a great area for kids to run around and play. And good ole home cooking.
  • Emporium Pies and Sauce on the Square. Downtown McKinney is by far one of our favorite places to go for date night! Such a quaint square with so many yummy restaurants. Walk the square and then eat out on the patio.

  • Sweet Firefly for ice cream dates with Lilleigh. The cutest ice cream joint around. Super kid-friendly, lots of character, games, snow cones, and homemade ice cream!
  • Host neighborhood play group. Perhaps a water day or playground fun.
  • Running. Being a stay at home mom, I don’t have many opportunities to exercise, so I am really trying to start running!

I am determined to complete this list! In order to do so, I know my family needs to stay well! So we took a little trip to Costco in search of a probiotic.

Shopping with these two is always an adventure.

After a detour in the meat section, we did make it over to the pharmacy section to look for the probiotic.

I found Insync probiotic in the pharmacy section, priced at $26.99 for a 90 count. Insync contains a beneficial bacteria known as B.Infantis, which is doctor recommended. This #naturalprobiotic is a gradual release tablet that promotes digestive system balance.

So why take a probiotic? Your gut, also known as your second brain (Yes, it’s that important!), is populated by flora. To maintain good health, you want this flora to be composed of good bacteria that will be beneficial for your health. Unfortunately though most of us have some bad bacteria in there too. The main contributors here are your diet and lifestyle. A probiotic actually increases the number of good bacteria populating your gut.

Of course, a natural probiotic, like Insync, is just one of many things in my daily supplement bin. A few of the additional supplements I choose to take to boost my immune system include: prenatal vitamin (nursing momma, here), doTerra On Guard beadlets (for when I feel something coming on), elderberry, fermented cod liver oil, briarose, apple cider vinegar, and more.

Along with these, I strive to eat a healthy diet, consisting mainly of “clean” unprocessed foods. Exercise is also so important, which means it’s time to start (dare I say) running! Thank goodness for warm weather and a jogging stroller!
In my experience, I tend to become sick less often when I am taking my wellness supplements. And when I do become sick, I recover quicker than in the past.

Now it’s your turn. What’s on your spring bucket list? And what are you doing to boost your health and stay well?
